''Gorytvesica sychnopina'' is a species of moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in Ecuador (Napo, Tungurahua and Morona-Santiago Provinces). The wingspan is 16–18 mm for males and 19–20 mm for females. The forewings are rusty, strigulated with brown and suffused with dark brown near two white lines. The hindwings are creamy grey, strigulation with brownish grey. ==Etymology== The species name refers to the great number of cornuti and is derived from Greek ''sychnos'' (meaning plentiful) and Latin ''spina'' (meaning spine).〔, 2005: New species of ''Gorytvesica'' Razowski, 1997 and ''Transtillaspis'' Razowski, 1987 (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae: Euliini) from Ecuador.
